BLA Claims Capture of Army Posts in Balochistan Amid India-Pakistan War

Pakistan Faces Two-Front Crisis

As tensions rising between India and Pakistan, a new front has opened inside Pakistan itself. The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), a pro-independence armed group, has claimed that it has captured several army posts in Pakistan’s Balochistan province.

The group already said that, they taken control of key areas in Quetta, the provincial capital. They also claims to have forced Pakistani troops to retreat from several army bases. This has caused confusion and panic in Pakistan’s western region.

On other side, pakistan is already facing pressure from Indian forces along the eastern border. On the night of May 8, India stopped multiple drones and missiles fired from Pakistan. Cities like Amritsar, Jaisalmer, and Udhampur in india were on high alert. Indian air defense successfully blocked the attacks.

At the same time, BLA fighters launched a series of attacks in western Pakistan. The timing has made Pakistan’s situation worse, as it now has to deal with attacks from both sides.

BLA Launches Multiple Attacks Across Balochistan

Jeeyand Baloch (BLA spokesperson), said the group carried out attacks in six locations. These include Kech, Mastung, and Kachhi districts. The fighters used remote-controlled bombs, automatic guns, and grenade launchers. The attacks focused on army posts, supply trucks, and other important buildings.

In Quetta, the BLA says it attacked the Frontier Corps Headquarters. The group also hit police and army checkposts in Hazara Town and Kirani Road. Two explosions were reported near the Safar Khan checkpoint on Qambrani Road.

On May 8, a bomb blast killed one soldier in Zamaran’s Dashtak area. The next day, more attacks took place in Katgan and Sah Dim. In Sah Dim, a Pakistani army supply truck was destroyed by an IED (Improvised Explosive Device).

The BLA also targeted communication systems. A mobile tower operated by Ufone was destroyed in Haji Shahr, Kachhi. In Mastung’s Chotu area, trucks transporting resources were also attacked.

Warning to Locals and Reaction from Pakistan

The BLA warned local people not to help the Pakistani army. In a statement, the group said that anyone helping the military will be responsible for their own safety. The group claims the army is using small payments and other tricks to win local support. They have asked people not to take part in this.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi (Former Prime Minister of Pakistan) had earlier warned that the government was losing control of Balochistan. He said that even ministers need full security to travel in the province. Abbasi said the situation is serious and shows a breakdown of authority.

Despite the BLA’s claims, the Pakistani government has not confirmed the loss of control. However, there are growing concerns that the situation in Balochistan is getting out of hand.

The BLA and other groups have been fighting for independence for many years. Balochistan is rich in minerals but remains poor and underdeveloped. Local people have claimed that the government takes their resources but gives them nothing in return.

Ongoing Conflict and Global Attention

The latest attacks have caught international attention, especially as Pakistan faces growing pressure from India in the east. The situation in Balochistan may now bring new challenges for Pakistan, including global criticism and closer scrutiny.

Many are now watching how the Pakistani army responds. The conflict in Balochistan is not new, but this time, the level of attacks is much higher. The BLA has shown that it can strike in many places at once, even in big cities like Quetta.

The coming days will be important for Pakistan. It now faces a serious internal crisis along with rising tensions on its eastern border.
