Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 guilty caught. On July 17, 2014, Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17, from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, was blown out of the skies of eastern Ukraine. All the crew and 298 passengers on board were killed. The Boeing 777 was brought down by a missile. It is now being believed that the warhead that was responsible for the bringing down of the flight, had been fired from rebel-held eastern Ukraine and it exploded to the left side of the aircraft, just a little above the cockpit.
And Now 5 Years Later
A criminal case is being built, by a team of global investigators, against the people who are believed to be responsible for the downing of the Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17. The investigation team comprised of top prosecutors and detectives from Ukraine, Australia, Netherlands, Belgium and Malaysia.
Last year, the team declared that it had been convinced that Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 was brought down by the Buk missile system, which had its origins in the 53rd Anti-Aircraft Missile brigade of the Russian army, which was based in Kursk, a city in Russia.
What Reports Say About The Blast
“The forward section of the aircraft was penetrated by hundreds of high-energy objects coming from the warhead. As a result of the impact and the subsequent blast, the three crew members in the cockpit were killed immediately and the aeroplane broke up in the air.”
“Wreckage from the aeroplane was distributed over various sites within an area of 50 square kilometers. All 298 occupants were killed.”
What People Have To Say
Bryce and his girlfriend Daisy Oehlers, were a couple of the casualties of the Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17. Bryce’s mother, Silene Fredriksz-Hoogzand, says, “We have been waiting for five years. It has to happen sometime.”
Robby Oehlers, a relative of the deceased, told reporters in The Hague, after a briefing by Dutch officials, “It was a BUK missile that hit the left upper part of the cockpit.”
What Russia Claims
Russia has denied all responsibility for the shooting of the Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17. Russia says that the Ukrainian army was responsible for the Buk missile that brought down the flight.
But Australia and Netherlands say that Russia is responsible, as they had provided the Buk missile system which had been used to shoot down the Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17.
The Conclusion
In a final report, the Dutch Safety Board concluded,
“No scenario other than a Buk surface-to-air missile can explain this combination of facts. Members from the JIT (Joint Investigation Team) announced earlier that 3 Russian nationals and 1 Ukrainian, are going to be tried on murder charges, for the shooting down of the Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17.
Fred Westerbeke, Dutch chief prosecutor said,
“Today, we will send out international arrest warrants for the four suspects that we will prosecute. They will also be placed on national and international wanted lists. Because of that, we will reveal their full names and we will show you their pictures. The four persons are: Igor Girkin, Sergei Dubinsky, Oleg Pulatov and Leonid Kharchenko.” Kharchenko is Ukrainian, the other 3 have Russian citizenship. All 4 suspects will be tried in the Netherlands, starting in March 2020.
