Tech company Nothing has introduced two new smartphones, the Nothing Phone 4a and the Nothing Phone 4a Pro. Many details about the standard Phone 4a were already leaked before the launch. However, the Pro model was kept mostly secret.
Both phones were shown around the time of Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona. The Phone 4a Pro is getting more attention because it has a new design and better features.
Nothing Phone 4a Features
The Nothing Phone 4a comes with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and gaming.
The phone runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor. It is available with 8GB or 12GB RAM. Users can choose between 128GB and 256GB storage.
For photos, the phone has a triple rear camera system. It includes a 50-megapixel main camera and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom. There is also an ultrawide camera, but the company has not shared its full details yet. On the front, the phone has a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
Nothing Phone 4a Pro Gets Better Hardware
The Phone 4a Pro shares the same battery, RAM, and storage options as the standard model. But it comes with a few upgrades.
The Pro version has a slightly bigger 6.83-inch display. It also runs on the more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip. The camera system is also improved, with a larger sensor for the main camera to help capture better photos.
Metal Unibody Makes the Phone Thinner
One big change in the Phone 4a Pro is its design. The standard model uses a plastic body. But the Pro version comes with a metal unibody design.
Because of this design, the phone is only 7.95mm thick. This makes it the thinnest smartphone released by Nothing so far.
The camera layout on the back is also different, giving the device a fresh look.
New Glyph Matrix LED System
The Phone 4a Pro also comes with a new Glyph Matrix system. Instead of the LED light bars used in older models, this phone has a circular setup with 137 mini LED lights.
This LED system works like a small display on the back of the phone. It can show notifications and other alerts. This feature was first seen on the Nothing Phone 3.
Focus on Unique Design
Nothing is known for its transparent style and unique lighting design. The company continues to focus on design to make its phones look different from other smartphones.
With the launch of the Phone 4a and Phone 4a Pro, Nothing is again trying to offer good performance along with a design that stands out in the smartphone market.
