Two Trains Collision in Egypt Cario, 100+ Injured and 32 Lost Life
Egypt, Cario: Friday, 26 March 2021, Accident between two trains killed 32 passengers and injured more than 100 in Southern Egypt. First blame is, Incident happened due to poor maintenance and crumbling infrastructure.
Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, President of Egypt, announce punishment for responsible for this accident. 32 people were killed and more than 100 injured in this accident. The health ministry said many ambulances were present at the incident place Tahta district of Sohag province, 460 kilometres (285 miles) south of the capital Cairo. Lots of metal and scrap on the place due to collide of trains.
Incident happened between two trains. One of the trains was travelling between southern city of luxor and Alexandria on the Mediterranan coast. And other was travelling between Cario and the southern city of Aswan.
Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population of Egypt visit to Sohag and check on the injured, as authorities already opened an investigation on the incident.
President, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi declared punishment for anyone who is responsible for this incident.

“Anyone who caused this painful accident through negligence or corruption, or anything similar, must receive a deterrent punishment without exception or delay”
In recent days, Egypt had many deadly train accidents.
In 2002, deadliest train accident in south cario, when 373 people died. Accident was so major, fire spread through all crowded train and caused many deaths.
In 2019, a train slipped from track and caught fire at Cario’s main railway station. Killed almost 22 people and injured 41.
In March 2020, 13 people died in collisions of two passenger trains in Cario.
