6 dead 6 missing, Kerch Strait.

MOSCOW: 6 dead 6 missing, Kerch Strait after two ships caught in fire. Source said these incident happened while transferring fuel from the on vessel to another and ships were carried crew members from India, Turkey and Libya. Incident happened in kerch Strait, which is a strait connecting the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, separating the Kerch Peninsula of Crimea in the west from the Taman Peninsula of Russia’s Krasnodar Krai in the east.

According to Russian authorities, search operation for missing peoples is still on, in kerch strait which separates Russia from Crimea.

The ships names are Candy and Maestro, from which Candy had 17-member crew, which includes nine Turkish and eight Indians and Maestro had 15 crew members including seven Turkish, seven Indians and one intern from Libya. Both vessels were flying Tanzanian flags.

Sourced said, the ships important part is still intact after they got fire and they still not sunk.

Indian authorities said the Indian embassy in Moscow was in constant touch with Russian agencies to get updates on Indian nationals.

Turkey has said four of its nationals were killed, eight were rescued and four is still missing after the incident.

The rescued crew from the ships were being treated at Kerch City Hospital. Health condition of this rescued crew is normal after being rescued.
