U.S. Boosts Military Forces in the Middle East

United States is about to increasing their military presence in the Middle East area. This decesion made after tensions between Israel and groups backed by Iran, like Hezbollah and Hamas, have grown. Pentagon is sending more its fighter jets and an aircraft carrier to help Israel and American troops in this area.

Lloyd Austin, Secretary of Defense, announced that more ships carries missile defense systems will sent to Europe and the Middle East. U.S. President Joe Biden commited to Prime Minister of Israeli, Benjamin Netanyahu to help and protect Israel from threats by Iran and its allies.

Recent events have raised concerns about more violence in the region. Israel’s airstrikes recently killed senior leaders of Hamas and Hezbollah, which leading to threats of retaliation from Iran. United States is considering to deploy land-based missile defense systems like Patriot and THAAD, which will help and defend against possible attacks

US military is also deploying their USS Abraham Lincoln to the region which is aircraft carrier. Which will replace previous carrier, the USS Theodore Roosevelt. This move of United States ensure their carrier present as a deterrent against Iran.
