According to a grievance report discharged by a congressional board, President Donald Trump seemed to have utilized the powers of his post in order to pressurize the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, to conduct an investigation on political rival Joe Biden. This would propel Trump’s election campaign of 2020.
After weeks of postponement, Mr. Adam Schiff (House Intelligence Committee Chairman) along with Joseph Maguire (Acting Director of National Intelligence) brought the complaint out to Congress and the public ears. Maguire has been looked down upon by democrats for the delay to bring it to notice. However, Schiff sides the whistleblower by mentioning that, he has a better understanding of the President’s oath and is more dedicated towards “making America great again”.
What President Thoughts
President Donald Trump has denies his wrong doing. The White House believes that Trump’s attempt to gather gossip on Joe Biden via help from Ukraine “shows nothing improper”.
Stephanie Grisham
Stephanie Grisham (press secretary) disputes saying, “the complaint is nothing more than a collection of third-hand accounts of events and cobbled-together press clippings.”
Grisham sides Trump stating that, “The White House will continue to push back on the hysteria and false narratives being peddled by Democrats and many in the main stream media.” He further mentioned that, Trump has nothing to shy away from as he had released a rough transcript of his call with Volodymyr Zelenskiy. However, “deeply disturbing” is the term given to the record by House Democrats.
